Aryahi Padmavati Narvekar

I am a senior at Montgomery High School in New Jersey. Since I can remember, I was always fascinated by etymology, which helped me unravel the rich history and connections behind the words we use. Also, I love drawing, reading, true crime, and Baby Keem. Here is a short list of my extracurricular activities that I have enjoyed besides the rigors of school. 

• School champion for 4 years - 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021.
• Conducting Montgomery township school spelling bee competitions. 
• Per request from Language supervisor created video for promoting Spelling bee @ Montgomery schools.
• Official pronouncer for Montgomery school.
• Spelling club inception with my brother in Montgomery township - 2019.
• Teaching art of spelling to students in India since 2020.
• Designed and Co-Developed spellmentors.com with my brother. 

• 2nd Degree Black Belt - Kukkiwon certified.
• Training for Assistant Instructor at Ahn's Taekwondo academy and conducting classes.
• Conducted classes for training other Black Belt candidates.
• 1st Degree Black Belt - Kukkiwon certified.

• Started professional violin training - 2016 with Anne Ku and continuing with Eli Schaffer.
• Performed at the Nicholas Music Center at Rutgers University and Alexander Hall at Princeton University.
• Member of the coveted Greater Princeton Youth orchestra.
• I play 2nd chair-first violin in my school’s symphonic orchestra.

• Research focusing on brain development and neural stem cell recognition using zebrafish in the Karlstrom Lab @ University of Massachusetts Amherst.
• Student speaker at The Global Health Leaders Conference at Johns Hopkins University.
• Volunteering at Children’s Specialized Hospital, RWJBarnabas Health, Hamilton, NJ
• USA Biology Olympiad (USABO), Semi-Finalist, 2024.
• Designed and developed - Skyspecialschool.org for a Special Needs children school in India.
• Research on underlying factors and their influence, contributing to the heterogeneity in spinal muscular atrophy (SMA).
• Research on relation between effect of type of Music and Neuroscience and presented live at the Symposium of rising scholars.
