Atharv Narvekar

I am a sophomore at Montgomery High school in New Jersey. I am enchanted by the world of linguistic history, where words unveil their hidden tales and provide glimpses into the cultures, migrations, and interactions that have shaped our communication over time. Besides playing recreational basketball, being self proclaimed NBA's and NFL’s greatest fan and listening to my favorite music artist Tyler, the Creator, here is a short timeline of my extracurricular activities so far: 

• 2 times Nationalist at Scripps National Spelling Bee - 2021, 2023
• School champion for 4 years - 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023
• 2 times runner up at the Regional spelling bee - 2021, 2023
• Conducting Montgomery township school spelling bee competitions.
• Per request from Language supervisor created video for promoting Spelling bee @ Montgomery schools.
• Delegate at Annual Speller Summit at Cincinnati, Ohio -  2023
• Official pronouncer for Montgomery school.
• Spelling club inception with my sister in Montgomery township - 2019
• Teaching art of spelling to students in India since 2020
• Felicitated by New Jersey State Senate for achievements in spelling
• Commended by United States Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman 
• Co-Develop and manage spellmentors.com with my sister.

• 2nd Degree Black Belt - Kukkiwon certified
• Started Training for Assistant Instructor at Ahn's Taekwondo academy and conducting classes
• Conducted classes for training other Black Belt candidates
• 1st Degree Black Belt - Kukkiwon certified

• Started professional violin training - 2017 with Anne Ku and continuing with Eli Schaffer - Current
• Performed at the Nicholas Music Center at Rutgers University and Alexander Hall at Princeton University
• Member of the coveted Greater Princeton Youth orchestra
• I play 3rd chair-first violin in my school orchestra and first violin in the advanced orchestra at my school, “Select Orchestra”

• Research on Dark matter, and it’s issue in the standard model of particle physics
• Summer 2024 @ Brown University focusing on mathematical structures behind cosmology, gravitational physics and Origins of universe.
• Member of the intensely competitive Model UN delegation, representing Montgomery at the tri-state conference
• SCOUT, University of California, AP Physics 1
